My wife and I own a small farm in north Alabama and we raise cattle and poultry. We started working with border collies around 17 years ago; we had about 100 head of cows and needed a hired hand. I looked at the breeds of working dogs and decided border collies would be the best fit for us because they worked quiet and had a natural gather. At this time all the border collies around here were what we call sheep dogs but they would work cattle; they were smaller boned border collies and a lot of them had heavy coats. They always got the job done though and never went home with the job not finished. I got a chance to see some dogs raised by a man named LR Alexander and decided this would be a line of border collies I would like to have - they were bigger, stronger, and had some bite to them. We have brought dogs in from all over the country to put together our breeding program so you will find some of the greatest cowdogs out there in our pedigrees. We have been blessed to help folks around this area by raising top notch working dogs and we are always trying to improve our dogs through our breeding program. Come by or give us a call we will be glad to talk with you about our dogs.
Have a blessed day,
Jimmy and Linda Tolleson
